PRIMAL FEAR’s Ralf Scheepers To Guest On New GRAVESHADOW Album; Mixed By DEATHSTARS’ Nightmare

Sacramento, California-based female fronted symphonic metallers, Graveshadow, are currently on working on their debut full length which is being produced by Matt "Hazmatt" Thomas (Fallrise), with mixing duties being handled by Deathstars’ guitarist/songwriter/producer, Emil “Nightmare” Nodtveidt. The album will include reworked versions of the five song EP that was released in 2014, plus three additional tracks including the duet “Blink”, which features guest vocals from Primal Fear vocalist, Ralf Scheepers.

The band has been a heavy favourite of the Northern California region over the past year and a half, including a recent nomination for “Best Metal Band” in the long running and prestigious Sammie Awards (sponsored by the Sacramento News & Review). Graveshadow features lead vocalist Heather Smith, keyboardist Valerie Hudak, guitarists William Walker III and Matt Mitchell, bassist Benjamin Armstrong, , and drummer Roman Anderson.

The Graveshadow sound is a mix of symphonic metal and traditional metal, and features the vocals of Heather Smith, who utilizes her voice with a combination of both clean and gritty vocals, changing between them effortlessly. While many bands have utilized this combination, typically two vocalists handle these duties. In Graveshadow, Heather handles all of the vocal sounds independently, which is something that is unexpected, powerful, and surprising.

The album is expected to be released later this year.
