Skull Fist just checked in with this announcement about a temporary change in the vocalist situation:

"If you've kept up with Skull Fist over the years you'd know we spend a lot of time touring and since fall 2015 have not played at all. I was having issues with my voice during this time and it took until January 2016 to be told I had a cyst on my vocal chords that was preventing me from singing.

"I had surgery a few months ago and was told this should fix the issue but unfortunately with that awesome luck that I have I was told there is still another cyst preventing me from singing in the higher keys.

"Because of this I have asked a friend to fill in for me on vocals. He's an amazing guy and an amazing singer who I've spent a lot time around over the years and actually happens to be Chris Steve's brother, Brian Stephenson. Sorry for the lack of tours, as well as the delay on the new album.

"I'll be having another fun happy time surgery after our Asian tour with Brian which will take some months to recover and hopefully I'll be able to sing properly again. This is 100% a result of drinking and smoking every night since we've been a touring band and never warming up properly so to my fellow singers, don't wind up like this cause surgery sucks balls.

"But remember, we are crazy fella's and literally nothing will stop us (other than death) from gettin natural highs on stage with you guys. It'll be the first time I've ever been on stage with the fist and not sang, so come out and watch us get nuts. We will keep everyone updated with recovery time and all that crap and as soon as I am better we'll start rockin again. we are going to kick ass regardless and make the best of a shit situation, I'm pretty certain I'll recover no sweat and be better than ever since I broke my neck 3 years ago and that junk was nothin! I've crushed bigger problems than this with my D*#$."
